It is recommended that, for at least one week prior to beginning biofeedback training, the patient's fecal incontinence or constipation episodes be recorded. These observations will serve as the baseline to monitor improvement once biofeedback training has begun. Biosearch has created and provides in every Monitor System Kit a Patient Log Book in which the patient may record events for the first week and throughout the duration of their therapy.
Weekly charts are provided so the patient may record the date and time of episodes, along with biofeedback training sessions and their duration. This Patient Log Book becomes a very useful record to gauge and confirm patient's progress.
